After a significant expansion, KOTH now features a 5.0 million tonne per annum (Mtpa) processing plant, providing a solid platform for long-term production growth. This dynamic operation combines open-pit and underground mining, with exciting exploration activities driving the future.  KOTH is located approximately 900 km northeast of Perth and 25 km north of Leonora, within the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.Reporting to the General Manager, the Mining Manager will be responsible for managing contractors, overseeing project operations, and overall management of the King of the Hills site. This role includes strategic mine planning and production oversight to ensure optimal ore extraction, completed on time and according to schedule. Additionally, you will mentor and coach the Mining team while coordinating production activities.You will hold the statutory position of Quarry Manager ensuring production and safety compliance of the open pit mining operation. You will also, at times, act as an alternate Site Senior executive.Key responsibilities of this role will include:Lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of safety, respect, and continuous improvement.Manage all technical and commercial aspects of the Open Pit operations by monitoring and addressing achievement against planned goals and objectives.Drive the productivity and innovation processes throughout the open pit operations by setting business unit requirements and monitoring external developments.Provide an integrated open pit operations budget to gain access to required funds to achieve Budget targets.Manage all aspects of capital development and infrastructure investment programs to ensure their completion on-time and on-budget. Provide input into and guidance of Life of Mine, Resource & Reserve and Budget planning cycles, as well as guiding short to medium term planning cycles to support the achievement of strategic objectives and ensure that open pit and open pit mining related issues are considered and communicated to appropriate parties.Create a motivating climate, by personal commitment, demonstration of and support to the appropriate behaviors framed by the Vault Minerals values.Develop the long-term success of the open pit operations management team by establishing and actioning appropriate areas for professional development and succession planning.Manage the development and maintenance of all systems, including documenting practices and standardising procedures, to ensure the correct and professional application of mine design principles.About You The successful candidate will possess the following:Minimum of 10 years of experience in open pit mining or similar operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.Comprehensive understanding of open pit mining techniques and standards.
